Higashi-West. Discontinued

«Higashi» means «East» in Japanese. A long-term history and cooperation between two companies, one in Europe (Belgium), one in Japan, is at the origin of this «East-West» collection.
Both Omexco and Tomita&Co. have a worldwide reputation in the field of high end and special wallcoverings. The collections manufactured by Omexco are being distributed throughout the world by exclusive national distributors, in Japan by the company Tomita&Co. From their side, Tomita&Co. entrusted Omexco with the distribution of some of their wallcovering collections in a few European countries.
Due to this interaction of supplier-customer relations between Omexco and Tomita&Co., the idea grew to create a collection together, partly inspired by Japanese styling and philosopy, partly by European taste and colours. The designers of both companies, Mr Herman Van Peer, and Ms Naoko Watanabe, travelled to each other’s countries and worked on the development of this new range in both Japanese and European atmospheres and surroundings.
