Results of the work-shops in Perm, Yekaterinburg and St.-Petersburg

On October 24th, 26th, and 28th in the big cities of Russia our company has conducted three work-shops for designers and architects.

Our aim was to tell the wide audience of experts about the new tendencies at the market of the European decor. For this purpose we have invited the direct participants of this market, who influence it: Pascal Gravoud, the known architect, a member of the French guild of architects, and Diana Daniels, the commercial director of the Belgian factory “Omexco”, which produce wall-coverings.

Many questions about modern directions of development of architecture and interior design in France were addressed to Mr. Gravoud. During his lecture Mr. Gravoud has stated that “the French style is a way to consider the art of life. It is not a stylistic system and not a doctrine; it is an atmosphere of life and pleasure …”

For deeper understanding of the Belgian approach to decorating, Mrs. Diana Daniels had told about the culture of her country in whole and specific features of the interior art. Besides, she had told about modern technologies in manufacture of wall-coverings, about creation of the Omexco collections. She said: “We make experiments with print techniques, with colors, structures of materials, patterns; we try to bring more variety. Our product should be, on one hand, traditional which is good for sales, but, on the other hand, it should be creative and innovative”.

We try to conduct similar actions on a regular basis, so the actual information is available not only to us, but also all our regional partners.
