From 1th december new light sources SKOL-2 and SKOL-2RGB based on powerful and superbright light-emitting diodes start salePub. date: 16.11.2006 The SKOL Company has developed and started to produce a revolutionary novelty, which has no analogous yet a two-port light source for the “star sky” ceiling based on powerful and superbright light-emitting diodes.
COMPACT SILENT ECONOMIC
In this source of light the technology of program management of brightness of powerful light-emitting diodes by means of pulse-width modulation (PWM) is applied.. Semi-conductor light emitting elements surpass all classical lamps (incandescent, halogen, etc.) in many parameters. First of all, it is times more effective; light-emitting diodes practically do not heat up, and that make it possible to produceе a light source without active fan cooler; absence of any moving elements make it silent and even more reliable. Service life of light-emitting diodes exceeds 50 000 hours (almost 6 years of continuous work), and it means, that the source can be practically unattended. Thus the light-emitting diode does not fuse, as an incandescent lamp does.
The device is very compact, which allows to mount it in a limited space and even directly above the «Star sky», which reduces the quantity and length of an optical fiber essentially, and therefore low the expenses.
Two light-emitting diodes with general capacity of 6 W (160 Lm) are applied in the device.
The light source is produced in two variants: white luminescence or RGB color. Because of elimination of rotating optical filter it became possible to use all radiated light which is submitted into an optical fiber with maximum efficiency.
A microprocessor is used to create dynamic effects of blinking and changing of color, and the algorithm of blinking and changing of chromaticity is set by a program which can vary according to the customer desire during the industrial production. The SKOL Company can offer you complete ready to use sets for mounting of the “Star sky” with an optical fiber of the certain length | |
