Using optical-fibre equipment (optical-fibres and a light source — light-generator). The fibre can be placed in three ways with respect to the plan of the ceiling:
The basic and most popular way is to arrange the “star sky” without puncturing the tension cloth. In this method optical fibres are brought closely to the internal side of the cloth and fastened to the created false-ceiling made of plastic foam; in this case the film is not punctured. In the daylight it looks like a simply accurate smooth tension ceiling, and when the dusk comes you will find a myriad of stars on lighting up.
The next way implies the application of an optical fiber, the tips of which pierce through the ceiling surface. When the light-generator is on the “stars” shine very brightly and can change their colour and even blink. To tell the truth, during the day time this “pierced” ceiling looks a little strange. Therefore it is better to use a “velvet” cloth; its texture will “hide” the ends of strings.
And if you want to have a “meteoric shower” (this variant of “sky” is named French), optical fibre strings are not hided, but on the contrary, are drawn from the cloth to the length of 10–30 centimeters. A glossy smooth surface of dark blue vinyl makes the impression from luminous optical-fibre “strings” even stronger. Although this method of “the star sky” will complement certain interiors only.
But, perhaps, the most amazing type of a ceiling is the “star sky”, where crystal diffusers of light made by the well-known Austrian SWAROVSKI Company are used. The precise facets of crystal looking like diamonds and original reflections of light on the edges reproduce the light of the brightest beautiful stars of the night sky on your ceiling.
The last and most “economic” variant of the “star sky” offered by our company implies unique dot lamps made by German firm " Nobile " as “stars” which are only 30 mm in diameter; with the use of a dimmer- switch they allow you to create any level of light in your premise you want to have.
